Leira Andrea Aráujo Nieto is poet, screen writer, actress and literature professor. She was born in Guayaquil in 1990. In 2015 she published her first poetry book entitled Caníbales. Also in 2015 her poetry book Última noche en el país de los hoteles won the Ileana Espinel Poetry Prize. Her poetry has been published in various national and international anthologies. She earned a PhD in Spanish Language and Literature from the University of Granada, Spain. She currently lives in Granada, Andalusia, Spain.
